Additional information:
This 10 step easy to follow guide, details how to create effective QR Code campaigns. We designed this to help everybody understand QR Codes and how to use them effectively.
Colors
Contrast between light and dark areas must be strong enough – a ratio greater than 4:1. NB: some readers cannot decode inverted (white on black) QR Codes.
Quietzone
The quietzone is an important area surrounding the QR Code. It makes the QR Code more readable, and is sometimes crucial. Its size is automatically calculated by the generator.
Size
We offer a full range of sizes. The size we recommend depends on the expected reading distance eg:
3cm x 3cm for reading from 10cm (an A4 document)
33cm x 33cm for reading from 3m (an A3 poster, etc.)
Redundancy
The redundancy in a QR Code is also its strength. There are 4 levels of redundancy: L,M,H and Q . The higher the level, the more resistant the QR Code is to damage (fading, logo overlay etc.). A lower level of redundancy makes the QR Code smaller and more readable.
Professional
See our Premium plans. Vector graphics, batch processing, tracking, API access to the generator, and so on.
URL Shortener
For a weblink (URL), it makes sense to shorten the link. You can do so using an URL shortener such as goo.gl or using our Live plan.
Logo overlay
Overlaying a logo might make the QR Code unreadable – please ensure it's still working using your own reader (with your smartphone).
